Field Trip- Scoccer

Melanie had Field Trips lined up in her school every week for about five weeks during January and February. I had great fun going there with her class and snapping some pictures while at it. Here is her Soccer Field Trip at the Oregon Soccer Center in Gladstone Area.

Melanie's 1st Grade Class and Mr. Smith, their teacher.

All started with some stretches, to make sure they would not pull any muscles while playing.

Melanie staying very concentrated on stretching :)

Let the fun begin!

Goal!!!! He says...

Dragon Fighter had fun plaing at the field with kids as well. I am not sure which game they are playing here...but he kept kids very engaged!

At the end everyone got a snack and a bottle of water for the job well done!

Field Trip- Rolling Skating

As part of Melanie's Field Trip week, we went to roller skating with her 1st Grade Class of Rivergate Elementary school to Oaks Park Rollerskating rink.

Here are the girls, very exited, leaving the school.

Put on roller skates and off we go...

But wait! Melanie does not go (skate) anywhere...hmmm..

Good thing Dragon Fighter happened to be in the right place and at the right time! Dragon Fighter to the rescue! Mama cannot roller skate...she is only good at snapping pictures at 200 ft range...far..far away from all of this busyness.

Let the lessons begin...

Lesson 1

Lesson 2

Lesson 3

Now some practice would not hurt on these practice rails.

After great workout some healthy snacks at the cafeteria

Somebody's mom had a pity on Melanie and took her under her wing to show her the ropes of roller skating...

And what they are doing here? They sure know how to skate!

Time for chicken dance on your roller skates, they sure are learning fast!!

Here is Mr. Smith is playing airplane...hmm..and Melanie is scared to move, she wants somebody to rescue her.

Final group picture...notice Melanie is wearing dark blue sweater- because mama (me) forgot to look at the flyer where it says that all should wear red...Well, at least she is standing out of the pictures :)
